We can provide a variety of small ensembles or individual musicians for church or civil weddings, receptions, banquets and corporate events.

Our musicians have performed in many different venues in the North West; including Shrigley Hall, Rookery Hall, Arley Hall, Peckforton Castle and Hoghton Tower.

Thackeray String Quartet | String Trio | Live Musical Performers

The Thackeray String Quartet or String Trio will provide relaxing background music, suitable for any event. They can also perform as a duo.

The four players are experienced professionals based in the North West, who play with the region's top orchestras including, Halle, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, BBC Philharmonic, Opera North and Northern Chamber Orchestra. They have worked in West End shows, touring throughout the UK and have appeared as backing musicians in bands for artistes such as Katherine Jenkins, Russell Watson, Hayley Westenra and Texas.  Their playing is versatile and they perform a huge variety of repertoire ranging from Classical favorites to Gershwin and Beatles numbers. The selection is always increasing and the quartet is happy to perform music of your choice.

The quartet can provide traditional wedding music for any service or a large selection of ‘lighter’ pieces to accompany drinks receptions or meals. They can perform inside a venue or – weather permitting – outside in the hotel gardens.

The Thackeray Harpist

                 lauren_scottThackeray Music employ a collection of North West harp players. All have had many years experience providing quality music for weddings and corporate events in venues such as Tatton Park, Arley Hall, Thistle Haydock, Manchester Town Hall, Midland Hotel, Shrigley Hall and numerous venues around Cheshire, Lancashire, Yorkshire and Merseyside.

Our harpists work extensively with many of the  leading orchestras in the North West, including the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, Halle, Northern Chamber Orchestra.  They have played in West End shows and backed artists such as Russell Watson and Katherine Jenkins. All have a wide repertoire for private parties and functions ranging from relaxing Classics to songs from the Shows.
 An alternative to solo harp is a harp/flute duo.

 

 We guarantee supplying a professional performer with experience in background wedding/corporate entertainment.

 

Oracle Oboe Trio

Oboe TrioThis is an original alternative to the traditional string quartet.

The oboist, Jane Evans, a member of the Northern Chamber Orchestra, formed the Oracle Oboe Trio.  She also is a freelance player with a variety of orchestras including BBC Scottish Orchestra, Philharmonia and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. Her emotive cor anglais playing can be heard in many film tracks including Lord of the Rings (The Return of the King).

The combination of the oboe, violin and cello makes a wonderful rich sound and is the perfect accompaniment to your special event. The repertoire is varied: ranging from Baroque and Classical music to popular classics, songs and film themes.

 

The Thackeray Pianist

We have a selection of professional cocktail pianists who play regularly for weddings and functions throughout the North West and the UK.

Their performing experience is extensive, with repertoire ranging from spontaneous jazz classics to light Classical, film tracks and popular songs.  Our pianists are extremely versatile.

Their experience has included working on cruises, playing at corporate functions and even playing for the 'Ant and Dec' tour orchestra!

They will try to play your favourite song - if requested in advance.

 

A pianist is perfect for a drinks reception or meal. It provides versatile and relaxed background music.
